My Crones are Clever Cinderellas

My Crone friends are a wise and wonderful bunch.  Kathy came a few days ago to do reiki and use her massage skills and essential oils on my legs.  What a wonderful hour that was with her prayers thrown in along with  the deep pressures massage.  She also does pedicures but I just wanted the nails cut as the sheets on top of them were annoying, actually the pressure hurt.

My Crone friends all have different talents to share with society. They have also delivered toilet paper and wine to me.  They have swept floors and lifted my spirits and picked up prescriptions in the next large town for Old Man.  We also ate stew and cabbage rolls for free, from their generosity.  Tomorrow a few are bringing Coconut Curry soup for our lunch.  What a great bunch of Crones they are....wise women who deserve a lot of respect.

  3. A good massage by itself is bringing back your body to heal itself faster and it's soooo relaxing. I'm glad someone could give you one :)

    1. I just found out you are living in Canada. Is your town a secret? I just wondered if I know anyone near you.

  4. I was back still in Langford BC few days ago, I just moved back to Quebec as my mom asked for my help, she's sick and loosing much of her capabilities to the point she's unable to open the fridge herself. I guess I'll be over here as long she needs me.

  5. Please keep in touch. I will worry about your mom. I have a nephew in Langford, and my aunt and uncle lived there before the Old Folk's home thing happened. Langford to me means a place we went as teenagers for the speedway races and I was propositioned once there. What memories you have kick-started for me. This is a tough time for you. Feel free to blog about it and I will answer .... every time. I am good about that as I really like to see other cultures and how they work in family units. My oldest son is working for the Museum of Civilization in Gatineau. I loved that place last year when I went by myself for the day (as all the men went to a planes' show). Please blog about your mom. Just click on New Post or the Pen

    1. In Langford I was living from a walking distance to the speedway, Langford changed so much in the last few years, still have charming trails.
My mom doesn't speak English she came and lived in Victoria for about a year and went back to Quebec so I always moved back and forth to help her as she doesn't want to ear about the old folk's, I will try my best to help her as much as possible.
I really enjoyed your blog about the Museum it was fantastic.

  6. How wonderful you got Reiki! I always tell everyone who does healing arts to get at least the first activation. I prefer that word to the usual "initiation". Too woowoo. I will have to blog about my Reiki classes sometime, :). The combination with oils and massage sounds truly blessed. One of the reasons us stalwart characters get laid low some time is to learn to receive, as well as give. At least, that's my humble opinion.
Much love on this Solstice day.

    1. You mean Nakusp hasn't disappeared yet? Well there are still 3 hours left for the world to disappear. Is Hawaii still functioning?
I love reiki. I didn't believe it at first but after a few sessions, some 8 years ago, I became a convert. Old Man asked me what I want for Christmas. I want Kathy to work on my leg, but not for free next time. She has expenses too and it was so good of her to do that free hour.
