Wasting time again

For some silly reason I was bored today with my fuzzy head and weakness, but not full-blown flu, and went to You Tube to research about Balmoral castle.  That was interesting and then I got sidetracked on documentaries about Princess Margaret.  I learned a lot at both sites but now feel like I have a royalty hangover.  It is systems overload I guess.

I think I will get back to my rainbow shawl and see if I can get it finished tonight while I listen to radio CBC.  Old Man is monopolizing the TV with football and curling.

  1. You found some lovely photos to share! It is so easy to get caught up in the internet. Hours go by that seem like minutes. We have had football on all day, too. Please share a photo of your rainbow shawl when you have it finished!

  2. Royalty hangover, lol. The combination of knitting or crocheting with radio or audio book is great. I have been spending less online today and been reading David Copperfield. I read it when I was 12, in Dutch, barely remembered it. Really enjoying some classics. You can feel your brain waves slow down when you read that lovely 19th century prose. And they are all free on the e-reader.

    1. DAVID COPPERFIELD.....I am impressed. I am still finishing the Frank McCourt book and then I have a study to work through. There are a lot of classics that I have not read. I will never live long enough to get to them all.

    2. Neither will I....which is why it is important to only read things we really enjoy. If I spend every minute of what remains in my life reading or studying, I shall no more than make a dent in the 'want to read' list. I shall therefor excuse myself from Henry James. I used to like him but could not get into it anymore. ButI am thoroughly enjoying Dickens.

    1. Exactly...that is what these are meant for. Bedridden or elder folks who just need the comfort of a loved ones special present for them. Good for you. You are a good daughter. I am on Chrome now and will see how this goes reading others' blogs and then trying a short one myself.

  4. I switched to Chrome about a year ago it works way better and I use Avast for antivirus, my son is a computer geek IT/game programmer, he told me to stop using explorer as it is slow loading and to use Chrome instead. I hope your next posting will go smooth.
