Also the leaves were royal blue and a sky blue but look green in the picture. Maybe they have faded.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14684720888428863058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-580328447361123912.post-26256005970933548092012-10-02T19:15:58.356-04:002012-10-02T19:15:58.356-04:00I get frustrated with myself. I was beginning to rant on a pro-native stance so maybe it was just as well. "honoured for the contributions to opening our country up for settlement" was probably a poor choice of phrase, especially if you ask them. They were willing to share their survival techniques, technology and support the crown in the War of 1812 but were not treated with integrity in return. There I go again. I will close my cakehole for a second time.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14684720888428863058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-580328447361123912.post-90627365935472514502012-10-02T18:10:10.520-04:002012-10-02T18:10:10.520-04:00'honoured for their contributions to opening o...'honoured for their contributions to opening our country up for settlement' - that's one way of putting it! This is a beautifully curated set of exhibits. I really like the display of Inuit carvings.nomadtravellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17714845635955522112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-580328447361123912.post-55806035041985083292012-10-02T13:51:21.742-04:002012-10-02T13:51:21.742-04:00Kudos to the Curators at that Museum! I am always amazed when I walk through our pre-Columbian exhibit, here where I work. The art works are amazing, given the tools and media they had to work with. It's truly amazing that the pieces are still with us today. Awesome! Thanks for the interesting tour! The Queen's dress looks absolutely beautiful. Wish I could see it up close! I enjoyed this very much, Karyn!Terri Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15333024343069943295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-580328447361123912.post-77119678885697605852012-10-02T10:42:53.683-04:002012-10-02T10:42:53.683-04:00Museums of civilizations are so interesting.
